A trip to Bangkok is not complete without experiencing its night. The nightlife in Bangkok is an amazing experience and there are offers for all tastes. Bangkok neighbourhoods that concentrate most of the nightlife of the city are the districts of Patpong and Soi Cowboy. The Soi Cowboy neighbourhood is named after the first bar opened in the area, the Cowboy Bar. These neighbourhoods are also known as the "red-light districts". Here the best streets for finding night movement are the Silom and Surawong in Patpong and Sukhumvit Road in the Soi Cowboy neighbourhood. The area has excellent bars, discos, karaoke bars, massage centres, restaurants and is always crowded at night-time. Most places are open all day and into the late hours of the morning, although it is assumed that bars and clubs must close at 02.00. Sometimes you have to pay an entrance fee but this usually includes one or two drinks. The dress code is relaxed; however some nightclubs require nicer clothes. Some places for going out at night-time in Bangkok are: Bars and pubs Aqua Aqua is an outdoor bar in a magnificent garden. Here they serve the best martinis in Bangkok, among a great variety of other drinks that are accompanied by regional snacks. Barbican The Barbican is an English-style pub with an extensive variety of beers. It has a smoking section and offers a good selection of food and drinks. Bull’s Head The Bull's Head is popular among the many British expatriates living in Bangkok. This is a British-style pub with frequent contests and theme nights. Vertigo For a breathtaking view of the city while enjoying a good aperitif, you must try the Vertigo bar, located outdoors on the 62nd floor of the Banyan Tree Hotel. Dubliner Irish Pub in Bangkok that is outside the usual tourist circuit. There are pool tables. It also has an excellent kitchen. Hu’H Hu’H is a bar and a restaurant that is operating on two different floors. It offers over 150 different cocktails from around the world. The Londoner Brew Pub The Londoner Brew Pub offers a giant screen for watching sports. There are also competitions for regular attendees. O'Reilly's Irish Pub O’Relly’s Irish Pub is a pub with live music every night. Discotheques Concept CM2 Concept CM2 is a huge nightclub and bar in the basement of Novotel Hotel in Siam Square, which remains very popular after 14 years, especially on Thursdays with its retro nights. It is a very exciting night club with live bands and 5 talented DJ's. Narcissus Narcissus has an incredible sound and lighting system and an interior decoration in the Art Deco style that appeal to fans of the house, trance and techno music. Bed Supper Club Bed Supper Club is an extravagant place that is shaped as a white cylinder and decorated with beds where you can relax before going to the Bed Bar to listen to house, hip hop and bhangra. Q Bar The Q Bar is the meeting place of the funky locals and expatriates that also brings world-class DJs. This place offers a varied selection of music ranging from house to hip hop. MusicAd-Makers Ad-Makers offers live performances of folk, pop and hard-rock music with a public that often encourages and sings along. Saxophone Pub The Saxophone Pub has wonderful acoustics, a lively atmosphere and a variety of live music including funk, jazz, blues and ska. Bamboo Bar The Bamboo Bar is located in the luxury hotel The Oriental and is an intimate, refined club with an excellent reputation for its jazz concerts. Radio City Radio City is a lavish concert hall where bands play old rock.
